After many months of searching, permitting, and planning, we are extremely excited to announce a new venue for the Tour of KC Criterium. The 2016 Tour of Kansas City Criterium will be held in the Kansas City Crossroads Arts District.
Located in the heart of Downtown KC, the Crossroads Arts District is Kansas City’s eclectic enclave of boutique shops, one-of-a-kind restaurants, creative businesses, studios and art galleries.

The new venue offers a ton of great perks including a location right in the Downtown Kansas City area, plenty of food options, and easy access from all major KC area highways.
With a start/finish line right in front of Grinders, the .9 mile long course consists of 8 turns with about 30 feet of climbing that comes in several short bursts out of fast corners. The final corner comes after a short, fast descent and opens up into a four block long finishing straight that is wide open for a fast, flat sprint finish. The area provides plenty of space for spectating.
Also new this year, riders will be able to earn extra omnium points on prime laps during the race which will keep the race fast, lively, and very interesting.
